Two years ago, the world watched in awe as a chain of events that started in Tunisia sparked revolutions across the Arab World, empowering individuals and threatening dictatorships. The so-called Arab Spring culminated with millions of Egyptian citizens finding the courage to stand up to their then-President Hosni Mubarak and his regime.

And now a new  book, “Demanding Dignity: Young Voices From the Front Lines of the Arab Revolutions,” allows us to read stories and experiences directly from the activists fighting in the Middle East for democracy, freedom and an end to decades of corruption. (read more – Daily News)
